It is a very inexpensive supplement – I take a combined 5000IU D£ and 100mcg K pill. A daily year’s supply is less than £10 in the UK.
Even if you got 30 mins of sun, the angle of the sun in winter would not be enough for Vitamin D just about anywhere farther north than northern Florida.
This is why I supplement with it.

Yes. Vitamin D toxicity is a real thing. You’re good and can certainly back off taking it so much.
I keep mine over 150. I did some research, and no evidence exists that toxicity is a problem for anybody under 300 ng/ml. They lowered it to 100 to have a “safe margin of error”.
All doctors will warn you of vitamin D toxicity, but it’s extremely rare and kills zero people per year…true fact.
