1. Pick a Niche

Pick a product or Category you have an interest in yourself. You have to treat your business seriously. Remember it is a business and not a mere hobby. It starts with the mindset and to succeed you have to be willing to make sacrifices. Most successful Marketers will argue that a positive mindset is the most important asset to a successful Network marketing experience.

2. Don’t try to force your business on your Friends.

Your friends could turn out to be a valuable asset or customer, but this comes more easily as you become successful. Your friends will become very curious when you start showing signs of success. Use your own judgment when dealing with friends.

Don’t let other people tell you that you have to start building a business with your friends. If you have never been successful at anything previously your friends will definitely not have an interest in the beginning. There are other ways to build a Network Marketing or Online Marketing business and we discuss this in item 3

3. Social Media

Social Media is the ultimate marketing vehicle. Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twiter, the list goes on and on. If you are not a Social Media master, start with only one or two platforms and master them before you venture into other platforms.

Don’t get stretched out by trying to maser all at once. Learning how to use any platform is easy. Just Google the info and thousands of people offer assistance in mastering these platforms.

4. Mindset

I mentioned mindset earlier but this is a big item. You must develop the ability to remain positive against all odds. Believe in yourself, don’t be afraid of failing or making mistakes. Develop the ability to keep moving forward until you achieve your goal.

5. You must be Consistent

I can’t stress this enough. Consistency is where many people fail in the Network or Online Marketing business. You need to have a plan to daily and or weekly increase your own knowledge in your business. As you learn new things, share the information with you customers or followers. If you are building a business you need to keep feeding your customers or followers with valuable information on a consistent basis. This shows them that you are serious about your business.

6. Passionate

If you are getting into Network and/or Online Marketing it helps tremendously if you are passionate about what you are doing. When you are working with prospects or customers you create a lot more activity when you are passionate about the product. That leads us into the next subject.

7. Be Real, Be yourself

When talking about your product or services you must be real. People can tell immediately if are not being real or if you are overselling because you are desperate.

People do not like being forced into something. Talk about your product or services and explain the pros and cons. Show the good and bad as you see it and let the people decide. If you represent a company that has 50 products, talk about the 5 or so that you have experience with and simply state that some people find the other products rewarding.

8. Reach out to Successful People

Do not be afraid to connect with people that are smarter than you. That is one of the greatest ways to learn in this business. Success breeds Success….Most people that are successful in this business remember that they were once where you may be now. Most successful people in this business also became successful by helping others.

9. Learn how to connect with People.

If you connect with people that have similar interest and you offer them something of value, you build a more solid relationship. Once they have respect for you they are much more likely to have an interest in your product or service. Many people say that most people will have connected with you at lest 7 times before they will buy.
