I used to HATE running. The thought of having to keep track of how many miles, or how fast I was going…. ugh NO. I've always preferred dance-like cardio workouts but I would do ANYTHING to avoid running, which even meant choosing burpees and HIIT workouts. Which says A LOT.
BUT one day, my sister invited me to go run with her. At first I was like "NOOOOOO you can't make me!!!" (seriously, I was that dramatic) but when I did it, I actually kinda liked it!! Now, I actually wake up almost every morning and get ready for a run to start the day!

I quit smoking cigarettes in 2020 during quarantine and replaced the habit with a daily walk/ run 2 miles every day.. and I am waiting for spring to get back outside.. yoga is keeping me sane with winter

This will be great for me bc my problem with running is that I get bored with it. As a teenager, my parents aren’t super comfortable with me running alone in the neighborhood so I’ve been stuck with a treadmill that doesn’t work very well lol. Anyways, I just get bored running on a treadmill looking at the same things in my basement. So thanks cassey!

I agree, so many other better forms of cardio than running. I’m a physician assistant and I did an orthopedic rotation. Almost all of the knee replacement surgeries we did were on middle aged runners :/

Running is my favourite exercise, because I can do it alone, and once I’ve started and decided a route, it basically forces you to continue. Like. You gotta get home somehow 😂
