Just to question here but pure white sugar(table sugar) is only 60 on the GI scale. Glucose is 100. A slice of white bread is higher than table sugar.
When I say table sugar I am referring to glucose.

White sugar = 61 on glycemic index.
White suger is called sucrose = glucose + fructose.
