This question is for people who work out every day, or almost every day… HOW do you decide when to wash your hair??? I've used WAYYYY to much dry shampoo with the logic "but it's just gonna get dirty again tomorrow". π

I wash my hair every day or every other day. I just can’t go days and days like some people can.
Same!! My hair gets oily so easily so I can’t imagine going over 2 days without washing it. I have to wash every other day
@Anna L I work out almost every day and I sweat. Even walking during the summer months I sweat. I end up letting my hair get wet daily in the shower and then shampoo/condition as needed every day to every other day.

I solve the problem like this: I wash my hair when they are dirty. If I don’t workout there’s no need to and I try to push them as far as I can. If I workout and I really sweat, than they are dirty and they need to be washed. If I wash my hair and the same day I workout and I don’t sweat much, I don’t wash. Easy, I wash my hair when they are dirty.

Lol my problem tomorrow is leg day and running,but today was upper body and alot of walking but technically I did not wash my hair yesterday since it was glute day and more walking so should I wash it today but what about tomorrow π«

OMG yes that debate is the worst and specially if you have long hair. Thank god for dry shampoo.
I just wash them if I don’t plan to work out in the next several hours. Sometimes I wash my hair in the morning, work out in the evening and then wash them again. But I have to wash my hair everyday anyway, they get too oily otherwise.
lol when i tell people i used to be in competitive swim what I really mean is I washed my hair once a year
I definitely knew those swimmers that never showered. One even stopped wearing deodorant, thinking he didn’t smell…he did.

i usually wash my hair every other day or so, after i work out. sometimes i skip 2 days though, depending on how gross i feel. dry shampoo does help lol

Literally was thinking of making this an “Ask Cassey”! Would love your take on this. I’ve read and heard from hair stylists that washing your way every day or even every other day strips your hair of it’s good oils. Some recommend washing 1-2x a week w/ shampoo, but you can condition more often.
When I workout, I sweat more often than not, but I’ve been clipping my hair up in a bun so my long hair doesn’t get sweaty from sitting on my shoulders/back. This has helped keep my hair “OK” feeling while wearing a shower cap between shampoo days. But is there a general standard for this? I like working out but dislike the “dirty hair” feeling that sweat causes. Help π
