Collagen MCT Powder:
Intermittent Fasting Doesn't Work For Weight Loss is a video explaining a new study that indicates calorie restriction works better for weight loss than intermittent fasting. Could this be true? One meal a day has been talked about greatly on my channel along with all forms of intermittent fasting for weight loss. It comes as quite a surprise when we learn that intermittent fasting doesn't work for weight loss according to the new study. Intermittent fasting for fat loss should be considered for those who want to effectively lose weight and feel their best.

I did 16:8 fasting with Keto and lost 1-2 pounds every day.
Research or not, people have tried intermittent fasting and it has worked and changed their lives, so if it works for you, then go for it. If not, then don’t.
YOU’RE RIGHT
Have you gotten results with IF?
Only a fool would believe intermittent fasting does not work.
Many didn’t believe the study. It just didn’t make sense to them.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 it works 1,000000000%
International drug cartels study disprove’s a natural free alternative to drugs – imagine that
Imagine that! lol!
That’s deep. 👊
You are right. Fasting requires no drugs like fat burners or appetite suppressants which the large companies world love to sell you. They also would sell you more drugs to fix the damage from the fat burners. It’s a billion dollar business.
The companies would also love to sell you “diet shakes”. Fasting would kill their business.
IF works for me. I have been using OMAD low carb, occasionally two meals a day, but within a 4 hour window. Steady weight loss, feel better. On day 5 of this regimen, my hunger decreased, especially for snacking.
Great Job Evan. Keep up the hard work!
I’m 45, I’ve been intermittent fasting for almost 6 yrs.. I have zero health issues, I have no pain, I feel good everyday, I haven’t been sick since I started, not even a sniffle, even when everyone around my wife and I either had covid or the flu, or any other sickness, I have more energy than anyone I know, I actually ride my mountain bike and do my workouts in a fasted state and I stay at about 15% body fat and we eat most anything we want… its important how you break your fast.. We either break fast with free range grilled chicken or the fruit dates.. hope this helps oh forgot to mention, I still play in an amateur baseball league with men 20 yrs younger than me.. still competing at almost my college level… none of this was the case before we started fasting… if you get in a rut and feel like you are not making progress, do fasted sprints, not jogging but sprints… walking is always good to do fasted as well… hope this helps someone.. we fast everyday btw, occasionally I eat a full day, but typically we fast, 16/8 up to 21/3 if I feel like I need more autophagy…
Me too!! It has changed my life no Dr. Visits except my yearly checkup and they are amazed at my lab results. Lol…😁
@T. Evans I have never tracked my calories, if I wanted to get shredded I might.. but to stay lean and healthy, just listen to your body.. dont over eat.. use good clean ingredients, grassfed, free range, organic… eat a variety of foods
Thanks for sharing. It’s important to understand your body and what works right for you. Great work!
How many calories did you burn with that marathon run on sentence James?! Lol!! Good on you, and thanks. I hope to get back my former stamina like you.
@J Woods lol.. at least a 1000! Good luck to you
The best exercise for weight loss. Push away. When you done quit eating.
I caught some bs like this a while long ago on one of my Tube channels and definitely called bs because I did IF myself years ago but not for weightloss. I was tryna grow a full beard, which I couldn’t do prior, and heard how IF can “correct your hormones” so I was more focused on boosting testosterone and lowering estrogen but lost over 20lbs in a couple months as a nice aside. Whether that helped my current full beard or not, because I’ve done a bunch of things since, I can now grow a full beard.
While I still IF, it’s not tied to anything I’m trying to do but a byproduct of doing it in a focused way back then. I just don’t eat breakfast anymore and can sometimes not eat until late afternoon or evening time on the weekends. When I get back to weightlifting, I’ll most likely eat in the mornings, more so.
I intermitted fasted before it was cool. When I was young on my own I could only afford one meal a day. Later, out of vanity I starved on purpose to lose. It made my skin firm as a drum. I can’t do diets. I’d rather starve and eat once a day or once every three days. I can’t maintain a diet of yucky low cal meals. I’d rather eat nothing and eat less real meals than regular 400 cal meals.
I tell people the same thing. I did it for about 5 years before anyone was even talking about it. Im in the same boat with low carb. It wasn’t cool when I started doing it.
I’m surprised that this day and age companies like Kellogg even stay in business lol
The general population is wildly unhealthy.
Lol, it’s funny you say that because when one flips to the natural, clean eating side, the amount of processed junked at the supermarket seems incredibly extreme, but not when your on the eat whatever you want side. Besides, processed foods with 10 year expiration dates are much more affordable and easy, unfortunately
TRE 16:8, 6 days per week, one day OMAD. Lost about 12kg, two came back, 10 were lost for good.
My digestion works way better now.
The digestive piece is really important and that is often overlooked.
I am 52, with no health conditions. I do a mix of 16:8, OMAD, and Alternate day, as well as some cheat meals (in moderation) on the weekend. Over the last 4 months, I started this process weighing 182 and now weigh 162, which is what I used to weigh back in 2016. This is a comfortable weight for me. I feel great and I sleep better. I am no longer a sugar burner, who used to yo-yo each day between 6 meals. I was addicted for decades, to Coke, Pepsi and many of the other products from the companies that sponsored that study. Healthy living is bad for many businesses.
I still struggle sometimes with these items, but I am getting better and better with cleaning up my diet. What I love about fasting is if you get off track, don’t feel bad. Just get back on track on the next day. Keep going. Switch things up between your fasting times. You will have amazing results, but it takes time. Dr. Z is a great resource.
Thanks Mike. Glad you are doing well!
It works for me. I have been on OMAD since May 2020. I have been doing it three times a week. I started off weighing 73kg. By the third month my weight dropped to 64kg. It has balanced at 64kg because I have been consistent till date. Though I “cheat” a few days during festive periods but my weight has remained stable at 64kg.
It works!
Great job! Thanks for sharing your story with us.
I’ve done OMAD with Keto and lost 100 lbs since January. Along with some exercise. Your videos inspired me to do so!
Sheesh Dana, you’re killing it! Keep up the good work! You are an inspiration.
That’s awesome 👌👏
Great job!
46 y/o, been IF for over two years. Added a 36 hour fast every other week after a year of IF. Four months ago I began doing extended fasting. During that time I’ve done a six, seven, and eight day fast with a 64 hour fast every other week being the routine. I’ve been putting on muscle at an unbelievable rate, while burning fat away. I work out with weights for an hour twice a week (always in fasted state for that HGH), and walk three or four miles a day with my dogs. I can eat whatever I want, but I choose to stay away from processed sugars as I notice their effects the most. I break my fasts with mostly lean protein – smaller portions on the longer fasts and normal portions on my 64 hour fast.
I haven’t had even a hint of illness during all this time and plenty of colds and flues have come and gone. Including of course, the current popular one. Wife got moderately ill. I felt nothing at all.
It’s absolutely no surprise to see garbage studies like this being peddled on MSM. They tell the public,” Who are you going to believe? Us, or your lying eyes?!” And guess what 80%+ do….you can’t help those who refuse to help themselves.
Great work! Also, thanks for sharing your story. Im excited you’ve have so much success with this.
IF is good for everything not only weight loss. Many people experienced themselves. Not only resulted in weight loss and resolving IR and belly fat but also resolving inflammation .
Exactly. You know more about this than those scientist. 🙂
Iam 18/6 every day and coming into a 3day fast now, not for weight loss but to bang down my insulin. Dr Jason Fung is another DOC Warrier.
Thanks DR. Z.
Have you seen positive health changes through doing this?
@Dr. Nick Zyrowski SUPER CLEAR THINKING 🙂
“Not eating makes you fat” great study. 2 reasons why we NEED to eat, one is for fuel, the other for nutrition, I focus on the nutrition side and try and fast from 6pm to 12 noon the next day.. I lost 10kg (About 20lbs) without doing much exercise. I am 72 with a problematic back.. Thanks Dr Z
You are welcome. I like how you highlight the importance of nutrition. Many people use fasting as a crutch for their poor lifestyle and that’s not healthy.
Hey dr I have done keto for about 4 months and I added carbs back to my diet I would say more of a paleo diet and now I am gaining weight like crazy please help give me some insight I can’t do keto sustainably but paleo I don’t mind up to 100 grams of carbs… I still consider myself low carb however please help me out I truly need it
Intermittent fasting worked for me! It helped me lose the last 10lbs post partum and keep it off. I combine it with fasted exercise and I’ve never been more lean in my life (and this is after kids y’all). For me- it’s just a natural and easy part of life.
