Has this ever happened to you?
Honestly, I’m gonna call it what it is. It's been happening for way too long and continues to happen to me today. It’s misogyny in the fitness industry.
Just because I’m a female doing this exercise with control (which took years to build up to btw), “oh it must be easy”.
But if we saw a guy doing the same thing grunting and sweating, “oh it must be hard!”
I’m sick and tired of people (usually men) saying that Pilates “doesn’t work”.
LIKE OH MY GOD are you my body? Do you know my genetic makeup? Do you know my goals? How do you know what “works” means to me?
The truth is – there’s no one blanket answer for everyone’s individual bodies and goals. So don’t believe ANYONE that says there is!
When it comes to workouts, we should try them all so that our bodies stay well-conditioned, nimble, flexible & strong on ALL fronts. So if you decide to stick your nose up at one, you better bet your weakness is only getting weaker.
prayer pushes look so easy , but i die out of breath doing it Lmao
@it’s Abby not ebby 😂
@Sam🇺🇦 😂
@Sam🇺🇦i hope you r alright now
Samee i thought it looked so easy so i did it and I’ve never felt my arms THAT tired before
@harveen gill I think that saying this on every comment isn’t gonna do much for you. It’s just gonna genuinely annoy people.
I always try your things and they help sm! I adore following your journey and you make me feel sm better about myself and my insecurities! 🙂

@harveen gill
It’s good to branch out and find ways to get more audience but this is considered self promotion which is against tos, everyone would appreciate it if you could not advertise in someone else’s comment section if they haven’t allowed you to
@Exceptionally Riso oh! im so sorry, thank you for telling me
@harveen gill
I did look at your content tho, good videos
@Exceptionally Riso thanks 🙂
Amazing video! I do have a question tho, if you had so many of those protein packs that came with the blender, why did you only have 2 winners? (No hate just wondering)
People wonder why my arms look ripped, and I’m like dude, it’s from holding planks, inversions, and prayer pulses every day.
edit: for people arguing about planks not working the arms and stuff, I get what you’re saying, I know there are much more efficient exercises for building muscle mass in the upper body. But I went from NEVER working out all to doing these basic exercises every single day, so when i say “ripped”, I mean I went from no muscle definition what so ever to having noticeably defined shoulders, triceps, biceps etc… “Ripped” for me is a relative term, I’m still not a hugely muscled person sorry if I didnt make that clear 😅
plank doesnt work arms and there’s no resistance when doing prayer pulses and just gives u a pump
@alexandra luna♡ what? I think they were just referring to the fact that gym effort typically only shows through if your diet lines up as well. You could work out a ton and your muscles could be hidden from view if you don’t also have a low enough fat percentage. How does that discredit their hard work? It just adds another element of hard work to it, and reminds us that we can’t always see the effort someone is putting into their body with our eyes alone… that’s what I took from it, anyway.
@PsychologistPlays Generally speaking gym effort is way harder than this yes u can get tired but everyone gets tired if they keeps their hands up for long enough muscle will not grow but if u work out you will go through much worse pain be it calisthenics or dumbells
yeah no planks don’t work the arms
@PsychologistPlays that may be true I just took it in a different way I apologise if I miss read it in any way thats just what I took from it I also hear it alot that those two things are what ‘keeps people fit’ but its not those alone and it does annoy me when people do discredit hard work again sorry if I misunderstood
Girl when are you coming back with follow along workouts on YouTube? Love them ❤️
its always the people who think theyre “too good” for pilates
@Aditya Raj developing fitness and muscles? it’s body weight resistance like pushups or planks, being able to hold a difficult position for an extended period of time

I actually think os myself as too crap for pilates and I’m quite intimidated by it. Maaybe one day though.
@egle LT it’s easy to start wid, go ahead
I saw some of your creations at target (or walmart I don’t remember) and it was the first time I’ve seen them! Congrats on your sales :DD
thank you!!
Probably Target
@Priscilla Jimenez Ok thanks!
I feel like some people believe that you have to physically hold and lift/push/pull a weight to “work out.” I think that there are a few different definitions to working out, which depend from person to person and focus area. Things such as pilates and yoga are perfectly fine, as well as lifting and any other type of exercise method. It really just depends on what you are wanting to do 🙂
Yep I agree, people should move their bodies the way they enjoy! But prayer pulses won’t give you decent muscular definition that’s what most of these people are trying to say
@קטי וולקוב absolutely! And you’re right about the prayer pulses, although they do help tighten the area and tone the arms as long as you’re consistent with it 🙂
There is more than just pushing lifting pulling a weight if you would look into it there are also exercises where you’d have to hold weight where you’re muscles are active the whole time.
You’re actually so freaking awesome, I absolutely adore your creativity. You motivate me to get up and exercise but unfortunately I’m very lazy and I prefer to just watch your videos 😅. Keep doing what you’re doing! 😁👍

This is exactly how I feel as an MT when big guys ask if I can even give them deep tissue since I’m smaller. Deep Tissue isn’t even like that and watch me make you cry sir. 😹😹😹😹😹👏👏👏👏

My brother is the same for stretching. While I’m holding my oversplit he says: “Why do you do those exercises? They are for weak girls” Spoiler: he can’t even touch his toes
I do stretch as a guy but mainly for high kicks
What they don’t realize is how many stabilizer muscles your workouts require; they feel the burn where they ain’t never feel the burn before!!
Every time I watch your videos I always get so inspired to workout
That’s so true, especially when they try to do a simple ballet move with good form.
Broooo I saw your products at my target today and I was practically telling my mother the history on why you made that water bottle and yoga mat lol
To be honest, i said the same about prayer pulse.. then i tried few ones… and God… i did barely 20 and my shoulders and arms are buuuurrrninnnng … 😁
