Hello question if you are doing ADF then on your feast day do you have to have a calorie restriction and if you doing intermittent fasting like 16:8 in your 8 hour window is it have to be calorie restriction because I’m keto I do eat low carb foods are some with no carbs food I’m just curious
Yes, calorie restriction, which is same as healthy food choices.

@Fe Conway well I don’t do calorie restriction because I workout each day and I lost weight still but I eat two meals on my feast days maybe a snack and on the intermittent fasting days on my 8 hour window I eat two meals a day sometimes also with a snack I don’t restrict my calories
It’s a hard question to answer because it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish, and what your current state is. The idea of calorie deficits in general shouldnt be used unless you are already using all the other strategies and still not where you want to be. But remember, healthy weight loss takes time.

If you slow your metabolism, can you speed it up again?
Prolonged caloric restriction will lower our metabolic rate. Fasting is not the same as restricting. Fasting will often increase our metabolism especially upon re-feeding.
I agree 100%! I water fast 3 to 4 days per week & practice IF the rest of it. I feel great!
