Thank you Dr Nick your helping cure many health problems. Our mainstream health care system has been dropping the ball on this
Sometimes it’s not just diet and movement, it’s mindset and stress.
I have to do my meditation and gratitude everyday, it helps my thinking and triggers.
That’s what keep most people snacking and eating, the emotional triggers as opposed to physical hunger. 🤓
Does this mean that parkinsons patients cannot become obese?
That’s a good question. I worked with several Parkinson’s ppl and come to think of it none of them were obese
@Renee Bjork thank god for small mercies
Keto does it for me. The food is lame so I don’t want to eat so much. lol I still have to have unsweetened jello and some whipped cream or keto yogurt, . It satisfies me though. I have only been doing this diet for almost 3 months though. I have a good reason to do it too. I am trying to get rid of diabetes and insulin resistance. How long will it take me drinking apple cider, bone broth, keto diet to get rid of insulin resistance?. Is it like years or how long typically to get rid of it? I was at 7.5 a1c when I was diagnosed. Yesterday I went to the doctor to find out how to take my blood sugar and it was 79 when she checked me and showed me how.
Congratulations on improving your health. I have been HEALTHY Keto and Intermittent Fasting lifestyle for a year now. I reversed my T2D and got off 2000mg of Metformin. I keep my carbs to 20g a day. Not sure what you mean by boring foods, there’s a plethora of healthy proteins, fats, cruciferous vegetables and leafy greens for better health. If you’re cheating by doing lazy/dirty keto, you’re are only cheating you and your health.
@Andrew Stanley I am not perfect at it but mostly I eat wild caught salmon, all cruciferous veggies, bacon and eggs, chicken. That is mostly my diet everyday. Try this it is so good. In the airfryer. Cover your chicken in ranch dressing cook on 350 Don’t over cook it will make the juiciest tender chicken you have ever had.I like to put lawry’s seasoning on mine while cooking too.. I also try to keep my calories 1200-1500 per day. Got to have my diet mt dews too. lol I can’t give up those. So not so clean.
@Andrew Stanley Were you overweight? How much did you lose? I am losing but I need to lose a lot more.
The food you eat on Keto doesn’t have to be “lame” — I eat pretty good, buying the best I can find (organic when I can find it — meat, cheese and butter from grass fed animals) — AND eating only one meal per day – NO SNACKS BETWEEN MEALS. While the food is more expensive than I’m used to paying, since I’m only eating one meal a day (and fasting occasionally) it’s actually costing less.
Plus, I’m such a cheapskate that I won’t “cheat” knowing that if I do, I just wasted all that nice expensive food that got me into ketogenesis in the first place.
@Doug Earnest When I say lame, I am referring to not having my sweets, breads, pasta, and whatever else is bad for you. haha
Watching your videos is a great source of dopamine!
Bang drinks are the safe on a fast
Don’t forget to hit the like button. He is nice to do these video’s he should be rewarded!!!
HEALTHY Keto and Intermittent Fasting lifestyle is life saving for me.
Awesome video Dr. Nick. Really puts addiction into context and understanding the process of breaking these addictions are very important for our health.
(Edited)
Aint suga craves = negligent exercise?
One thing I would add is that for some, most, or maybe all people — once you go a few days without sugar, you’ve broken the addiction and don’t crave the sugar. Continual reinforcement with reading and watching videos about what sugar does, how bad it is, makes me literally sick at the thought of eating cheesecake for breakfast. Who knew, right?
One of the things I love most about your videos is the reassurance that it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere.
I find it super hard with delivery apps as well, I’ll delete the app and redownload it. Locking your credit card helps, removing your account and deleting it.
