In ready to learn š§š½
You’re in the right place. š
I want to , but not getting success!
Why do you think that is?
Been OMAD for over 3 years.
I love it.
I’m almost never hungry.
If we consider that a male adult needs about 1800 to 2500 calories per day (depending on it’s needs) how do you take them in just one meal? And if you could it would be a very long and hard time for the stomach to dijest.
@Dr. Nick Zyrowski 5 days a week and the other 2 days I don’t eat anything.
@MegaEnduras
I’m a woman.
It didn’t take long to get it down to one meal a day.
My eating habits were always sporadic anyway.
I just made the effort to be disciplined about it about 3 and a half years ago.
I don’t really care much for food anyway and I don’t eat sweets at all.
@Galaxy Wanderer Thank you for your answer. If you make OMAD you should eat quality foods but I always wonder about you can get the colories needed from one meal ,that’s why i asked. Be well.
@MegaEnduras that seems valid concern.
Doctor can you make a video on ,why few countries basic food is carbs like noodles and rice š but they can loose weight and fast easily!š
It’s a possibility their fat intake is low. I lost 60lbs easily on high carb low fat but my body composition was terrible.
It is a matter of calories in calories out so many high carb foods are low in calories.
Interesting topic. We could look at this for a future video for sure.
Weekly 36-hour fasts has reinvigorated my timang structure.
Blue Zone diets have an *8 hour* refeedang winder with a certain time stoppage 2 prevent sleeping bloated.
Do you do any other fasting other than the weekly 36 hour fast? 16:8? OMAD?
@Dr. Nick Zyrowski
Quarterlay 7-day fasts
Monthlay 48 – 72 hour fasts
(Real *autofojay* occur between days 2-3)
18:6 – 4 da longa fastang winder
OMAD usuallay
Itās like I eat 3 meals a day/ but I want to change and I want to learn
You came to the right place. š
I just start 3 days ago and it is for weight loss
How is it going?
What about building muscle on just omad, how do achieve that?
Same way you always would. Omad is great at preserving muscle and burning fat. Check out this video https://youtu.be/HDf0EzQix4c
I do OMAD often for weight loss, the only problem is that it exarcebates my anxiety.
You worry too much.
@gothic pagan It’s not worry per se, it’s just a constant uneasy feeling.
You know how I talked about the vitamins in the video…. Also look to magnesium that can calm your brain like this https://store.nuvisionhealthcenter.com/products/neurocalm?_pos=2&_sid=aad3add4c&_ss=r
Make sure you get enough minerals, especially magnesium and potassium. A lack of these, along with some of the B vitamins, has been linked to anxiety symptoms in many patients.
I became anemic doing omad and intermittent fasting, because I couldnāt get enough iron in my diet so my ferritin got very low! š±
I generally do a 19:5 or a 20:4 regimen, it works for me, I try to eat as healthy as I can but do splurge once in awhileš I have lost 70lbs over the last 2 years and exercise daily! Good luck to all that are just starting! Itās a great WOL!
You are doing so good! Thanks for sharing your story. It’s inspirational.
I’ve been doing keto/low carb OMAD for 3 years, with eating window 9am-11am, after exercise. Sometimes I extend the fast to ~30 hours. Working in the state of deeper ketosis is wonderful!
Great work. Thanks for sharing. DO you continue to see good results without a plateau?
@Dr. Nick Zyrowski I’m at maintenance, so plateau doesn’t bother me. Besides, when I prolong my fast one day and then eat at my regular time the next day, the interval between meals is shorter. It’s kinda variation)
i m diabetic 50 year old male. i eat within a 1 hour windowā¦ i eat my protein, vegetables, followed by some berries / strawberries or cucumbers/ cherries tomatoes or avacadoā¦ā¦ i am very routine and my blood glucose is the best it has been for yearsā¦
Keep up the good work. Your story is excellent and can help others overcome insulin resistance too.
I do OMAD everyday. About a 6 hour eating period. About 30 carbs a day. Still not losing much.
You could possibly be eating too much. Look at your calorie intake.
Thank you!
I want to but scared Iāll fail. Tried and failed a few times. I wake up and crave food, want coffee with milk etc
I do OMAD with no sugar, walk 10km almost everyday. I was fasting Ramadan 30 days and now I add 6 days all without sugar. I used eat lot of sugar with OMAD and never get a good result. Now I lost 20lb for 7 weeks. My blood sugar is lowered. Thank God and thank you Dr.Nick Zyrowski bless u
Dr Nick. Iāve been on Omad for about three years and my weight loss has plateaued. Iām a sixty yr old female. Any suggestions?
I have primarily done OMAD for losing weight. I also experience spiritual benefits during my prayer time and Bible study. I switch things up. I usually do OMAD 3 days a week, 16/8 for 3 days and sometimes 1 day of three meals. I alter what I do depending on whatās going on in my life. I mainly follow a Keto diet, but on some cheat days I eat what I want. When I do OMAD, I eat dinner only, which is a 2-2.5 hour window. I donāt count calories. I eat until I am full. Itās usually a pretty big meal. I have been doing this for 3 months. I used to weigh 184. I now weigh 165. It took me two months to get there. I have been maintaining this loss for the past month. I exercise, but not every day. I am a 52 year old male. I have really good energy from this. I used to do Daniel Fasts, but I like the flexibility of intermittent fasting much better. As a side note, I was doing wind sprints every other day while fasting. I recently challenged my 13 yr old son and 19 years old daughter to a running race for one block in our neighborhood. They are both athletic. My daughter was a cross country runner. They couldnāt believe their old man smoked them. Most of my sonās dads are 10 years younger than me. I am fairly confident, I could out run most of them. Fasting makes me feel like a million dollars. It has become a way of life for me.
Started omad April 16. One hour eating window. Doing well š I follow macros and take supplements with it. I do it every day but I started out over 100 pounds overweight
This & full days of fasting has worked wonders for going through menopause. I’m now back in the gym lifting weights & feel stronger than I did 5 years ago. And the menopausal weight gain is going.
