@Shah Yar i am not an expert, but I think 16:8 may be better for you. During the times you are eating, try to stick to more of a Ketogenic diet.

I’m a big fan of IF (16/8) but I dammaged my body with exessive diets and to much stress.. I was on holidays now and wan’t to start the 48h water fast for my first time. After that I wanted to combine Keto with IF.. As an Endomorph I’m struggling very hard with loosing weight. I’m 176cm and 94kg..38 years old.. Any suggestion for me please?
My dad is 77 and is recovering from AIDP from the flu vaccine he received. He spent 9 months in the nursing home rehabilitation and still after 4 years he can’t feel his feet or his use of his hands are very weak. When he tries walking it’s like foot drop. He take insulin for diabetes and several heart medications and thyroid. My question is would he benefit from this at all or will his medication not allow him to try or does the Gillian barre (AIDP) only respond to plasma treatment and not fasting since it’s attacking itself?

Day off means just eat regular and not fast.
Getting rid of insulin resistance is my current goal, also improving my immune system. Supplying my body with nutrition, fuel. I was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a year or so later GP told me I had a fatty liver, (addressed now, okay- so he said), and then a couple of years later GP told me I have gallstones. (See the pattern?) Why he didn’t check everything when I was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism is beyond me. How could he not know? I feel like he was milking my health issues for HIS monetary gain! 🙁
Over a year ago I went to GP for a discomfort in my right groin, he advised me to get my gallbladder ripped out?!?! I refused- he used scare tactics! While getting the sonograms to determine what was causing discomfort the technician showed me my gallstones, my 2 spleens, no hernia, saw no cause for groin discomfort while doing sonograms. GP didn’t know I saw all this stuff. I’ve not been back to him, nor consider him my doctor any longer- No gallbladder flareup, nothing, ever. At one time I had asked GP if I could reverse my hypothyroidism- His answer- NO, absolutely not possible. I now have trust issues with doctors. Finding one I trust is a long process for me.
What should you eat to break your fast also do vitamins or wheat grass break for fast ?

If you are outside a lot in 90 degree weather, does that have any effect on your body when fasting? I know I need to stay hydrated, but are there any other protocols that should be followed?
Dr Z.. my why is to lose weight.. a lot of it! Also..to help with joint pain. Specifically arthritis in the knee and hip. I just finished a 48 hr water fast yesterday! My why is to deny myself- fleshly aspects of eating. I find myself eating more in the evenings and I have started eliminating late night eating a few times a week. My goal is to stop eating around 4 p.m. and resume around 8 a.m..I can see myself working in a 2 day water fast after I am able to do this 4 p.m.- 8 a.m. intermediate fast successfully for at least 5 days in a row. The 7 day is a little more of a challenge and I would have to work my way into it. I also have spiritual aspects to fasting. I would like to make and see things in my life different. Thank you.
I’ve been 16:8 for about 18 mths, now OMAD for past 6 mths to help with weight loss and Multiple Sclerosis. It is benefiting both. Also Keto for past 2 years. I will have to give the 48 hr fast a whirl.
