Thank you – just what I needed
I have been on keto for more than a year, but I have been messing up lately. My motivation has gone down and I am just now seeing results. How did I stay motivated?
I have found myself in the same position. What has worked for me is to not get discouraged! What we are trying to accomplish is not measured by speed but endurance. Take a deep breath, and start over, maybe a new routine or maybe a different group of healthy foods. Just remember it’s ok to set small goals and work at those until your ready to take another step. I personally never count calories and I don’t worry about a scale.
@T. Daniel Thank you so much that was really helpful. I think my while relationship with food is messed up. If I mess up a little I think we’ll why not have cake because I already messed up. I need to try not to get discouraged and remember that a little mess up isn’t bad. I started practicing martial arts and I also swim so that has helped a lot. I don’t worry about a scale either but I go to the doctor once a month and get my weight there.
Me too. I can’t have ANYTHING sweet. I went from eating tarts, cookies etc, to bingeing on peaches, pears etc. Anything sweet, and I am out of control. 🙁
@Candace Ion Before I started this diet I was the same way, I ate candy everyday and drank soda. Then my hands started to swell up from arthritis so I decided to do keto. My hands never swell anymore and they don’t hurt. Keto has cured all of that. I just need to regain my motivation but its been hard because I have been doing it so long.
@Candace Ion I use to crave sweets but not as bad. I would eat a tiny bit of dark chocolate, 85% cacao after each meal when my sugar cravings were the worst.
