Most food is convincingly healthy but in reality really bad for you. The label would have you believe something very different though. Healthy junk food is something you should never eat if you want to maintain good health for the long run. Switching to organic foods, eating whole foods, and continually using brands that you know you can trust is important for anyone who wants to live a healthy diet.

Hi Dr. Zyrowski can u tell us what does MCT stand for please. Thanks
Red Mills oatmeal? Rolled oats is it healthy for you?
Depends on one’s definition of healthy. If you’re striving for low carb or have metabolic syndrome, then I’d say any oatmeal isn’t a good idea.
Personally, I do not consume any grains on a regular basis. No breads, muffins, pastas, biscuits, oatmeal’s, rices, etc. Nor do I buy it for my family because of the grains are high on the glycemic index and my husband is prediabetic.
Example/ true story: we were a small country cafe close to where we live one Saturday morning and my husband and I overheard the young lady next to us discussing her decision for breakfast with the man with her. She couldn’t decide if she should get a bowl of oatmeal or a waffle. I almost laughed out loud, because they both have about the same insulin response in your body. But it is sad how our society has been fed the lies.
I quickly googled the glycemic indexes of both to check myself, and I was correct. Their glycemic indexes are about 4 points from each other.
I felt like saying to the lady, “just have the waffle lady and “live a little because metabolically they are the same to your body and it will process the carbs and sugars the same. You’ll put sugar in the form of syrup on the waffle or honey on the oatmeal. Again, not a whole lot of difference metabolically.
Doctor grain-free, does that include quinoa and buckwheat I eat most of that everyday.
Yes. He put a pic up, around 7:20, of what to eat.
I always love Dr Nick’s videos and once again another amazing video!!
What about prepackaged grilled chicken strips organic no antibiotics no hormones, by Purdue chicken company. Are you familiar with this package doctor.
Happy to report that I do not consume a single one of these dietary ‘poisons’ – thanks to you. Gratitude!
You and your family look very healthy , have a great weekend dr 💕
I love olive oil and lemon on my salad 🥗
This reminds me of my vegan friend I used to have. She always bragged about being a vegan and really hating on meat and other animal nutrition. But then her health had some isses because she ate a lot of vegan fast food like cookies frozen pizza and so on. Then I tried telling her about real nutrition and it would be so much healthier for her than this vegan nonsense she’s doing. Well. We’re no longer friends after that😂
I’m in one of “those” relationships right now. I’ve stopped opening the topic…… she’s not “ready”. I do hope one of her health conditions leads me to be able to “re-open” the conversation…… so sad to me that I cannot help her head off some of them, instead. 😕
We use Stevia. It’s available with and without fillers. We use the pure Stevia without fillers.
We drink Eternal Water.
We use MCT oil.
Great video… Good reminder. Thanks Dr Z 🙏
Great video! Not all people share such truthful info about these foods. I feel that the term ” organic” is being shoved down my throat. Thank you for being a doctor that says, “It’s organic so it must be healthy for you.” Processed organic food (packaged) is still processed food wether it says organic, keto paleo, whole 30 etc. Its all about marketing and making money. You must read the nutrition labels.
The body can not tell the difference between white sugar and “healthy” sugars and blood sugars escalate.
Healthy grains kill my gut. So painful for me. Even the ancient grains. 😬
Premade salad dressings are mostly made of bad oils or the healthy sugar alcohols that you discussed. I make my own dressing with olive oil or redline vinegar or apple cider vinegar or squeeze fresh lemon juice dried herbs, salt/pepper…so good.
Whole foods are the best in my opinion.
Thank you.
I am learning so much quickly, you are the absolute Best.
Can you do a video about coffee because I hear so many conflicting information about it. I stopped drinking it because I have hyper cystic breast tissue and it has been suspected to worsen that situation. Also can you incorporate your views on coffee enemas in that video as well. Thank you Dr Nick!
Most store bought coconut oil isn’t really that healthy. About 80-90% of it is saturated fat and can raise your LDL cholesterol
Very informative as usual, thanks. 🎅🏻🏴☠️🏔
Great video Dr. Z. The oxymorons on labels reminds me of an old George Carlin routine when he talks about jumbo shrimp and semi-boneless. 🙂
Any foods marked “healthy” I give a wide birth, because most of their manufacturers still believe saturated fat is dangerous, and often have seed oils in the ingredients. They don’t have a clue!
