Hi Casey! I want to start body building like you but I’m confused about a few things. I’m 140 lbs,so taking 170 grams protein everyday is ok ?( I’m 17) I heard too much protein is damaging for health🥺

@Sumayya Khawaja if you’re not working out yet, you only need about 50-60 gram of protein, but if/when you do start working out and you want to gain muscle I’d increase it to 80 grams of protein

@Sumayya Khawaja Yeah, because 1g per pound is actually a lot of protein to take in a day. Any more might be unhealthy, but I would check with a bunch of sources who actually study this for a living 😅

If you’re just starting bodybuilding, you don’t need to take protein, EAT real protein.. start with 4-6 small meals a day, and track your macros on something like my fitness pal. Get some basic vitamins to take daily, and drink water as much as you can.. maybe some pre work out supplement to give you a boost on days you feel a bit sluggish.. once this type of stuff along with working out, becomes a consistent routine, then consider protein powder. Protein is going to help build and recover muscle, but you don’t absolutely need it yet when you’re just starting (if ever tbh). Once you’re ready, 0.7- up to a gram per pound of body weight should be efficient. The most important things are food, sleep, water, vitamins, stretching, and consistency. Everything else falls in place .. YOU GOT THIS!! Never ever give up! Keep going and you will amaze yourself at what you can achieve! Rooting for you gym fam👍🏽💪🏽

@Sumayya Khawaja start basic.. Push ups, pull ups, body weight squats, burpees, lunges, arm curls.. things like this will prime your body for using weights. Find out how many of each of these exercises you can do, your maximum effort.. record that information.. Continue to try to do more everyday.. if you did ten push ups one day try to do 11- 15 the next time you do them.. you’re goal should be progressive overload. I hope this helps a bit friend👍🏽

So I can do that in straddle position but not this kneeling position so I think it dpends on your hips and where your booty fat and muscular development is. So try it again in straddle. It is very fun.
